When you hear Herb Alpert - Rise, what is the first thing that comes to your mind???
For me, it reminds me of Luke and Laura from General Hospital, when Luke rapes Laura at the Campus Disco. As much as I like this song, I can’t help but to have that story line come up in my mind. I feel almost “dirty” listening to it.
General Hospital, decided to use “Rise” as the musical backdrop of one of the TV show’s most memorable scenes, the rape of Laura Webber by Luke Spencer
Regardless, this song is on my favorite’s list.
