I enjoy watching the Super Bowl, but I think I like the eating of the finger foods and other goodies. So I was going through the recipes that I get and I found this one and it sounded really good.
I let you know how it turns out.
Buffalo Chicken Dip
- 2 (10 ounce) cans chunk chicken, drained
- 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup Ranch dressing
- 3/4 cup pepper sauce (such as Frank’s Red Hot®)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 bunch celery, cleaned and cut into 4 inch pieces
- 1 (8 ounce) box chicken-flavored crackers
- Heat chicken and hot sauce in a skillet over medium heat, until heated through. Stir in cream cheese and ranch dressing. Cook, stirring until well blended and warm. Mix in half of the shredded cheese, and transfer the mixture to a slow cooker. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top, cover, and cook on Low setting until hot and bubbly. Serve with celery sticks and crackers.

I got this e-mail the other day and thought it was pretty funny.
Amazingly Simple Home Remedies
1. If you’re choking on an ice cube simply pour a cup of boiling water down your throat. Presto! The blockage will instantly remove itself.
2. Avoid cutting yourself when slicing vegetables by getting someone else to hold while you chop.
3. Avoid arguments with the Mrs. about lifting the toilet seat by using the sink.
4. For high blood pressure sufferers: simply cut yourself and bleed for a few minutes, thus reducing the pressure in your veins. Remember to use a timer.
5. A mouse trap, placed on top of your alarm clock, will prevent you from rolling over and going back to sleep after you hit the snooze button
6. If you have a bad cough , take a large dose of laxatives, then you’ll be afraid to cough.
7. You only need two tools in life – WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it doesn’t move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn’t move and does, use the duct tape.
8. Remember: Everyone seems normal until you get to know them.
9. If you can’t fix it with a hammer, you’ve got an electrical problem.
Daily Thought: SOME PEOPLE ARE LIKE SLINKIES, NOT REALLY GOOD FOR ANYTHING, BUT THEY BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE WHEN PUSHED DOWN THE STAIRS.

My friends, Charnell and Kevin met me after work and we went to The Lion and Rose Restarant & Pub. for dinner. I had never been there, so I was excited about trying it out.
San Antonio’s The Lion and Rose Restaurant & Pub has it all! Play a game of darts, relax in our comfortable pub, enjoy watching you favorite sports team, have the best English and American food around, and of course, tip back a pint of one of the finest beers from around the world.
I have been wanting to go there and try their Fish & Chips (one of the things that I miss from my hometown, Flint, Michigan — Fish & Chips from the Coney Island restaurants).
We started off with the Cotswold Crab Stuffed Mushrooms… they were very good. And I knew what I wanted without even looking at the menu… Fish & Chips! All I can say is that they are the best Fish & Chips that I have has since I moved to Texas in 2005!
The fish was perfect — fried golden. The chips were kust right. And the homemade remoulade that they served with it was delicious! I was totally happy with my order.
When were done with our meal, Charnell and Kevin, twisted my arm to have desserts!! (wink, wink) I ordered the Four High Carrot Cake… man was that good!! For those of you who have been to a resturant called J. Alexander’s, you know their carrot cake is one of the best. But The Lion and Rose’s carrot cake was almost just as good or even better!
I was totally happy with my visit there. Good times with friends and a good meal, who could ask for anything more!
So if you are in San Antonio, you really need to check this place out.
Thanks Charnell and Kevin for suggesting that place!!

I have never met Tom Baker, but we know each other from our blogs. Tom wrote this and it was very nice of him to give a shout out to my mom, Lydia M. Garza. It would totally boggle my mom’s mind that if you Goggled her name there would be sites about her on the Internet!!

Condolences are due to members of our universal blogging family. Two friends of mine and perhaps yours as well have lost members of their family. On January 7, 2010, Benito T. Calzada, Sr. passed. He is the grandfather of Judy Santiago. On January 10, 2010, Lydia M. Garza passed. She is the mother of Sylvia Garza.
We are a family here at Morning Erection and I ask that you pay a visit to their blogs and just let them know you’re thinking about them in their time of bereavement. I’m sure they would appreciate it and I know I would as well. Thanks.
To the family of Teddy Pendergrass, who passed on January 13, 2010, best known for his R & B hits Turn Off The Lights and Close The Door; I want you to know Teddy will be missed.
REST IN PEACE
A face we love is missing
a voice we know is still
a place is vacant in all our hearts,
that only you could fill.
Tears in our eyes,
they won’t go away,
we wish you were here with us today.
We know you never ment to hurt us
or make us cry.
Our love for you will always stay,
if only things didn’t end this way.
But you’ve brought it to the final end,
we will always remember you as our friend.
We love you
Rest in paradise till we meet again.
~ Hannity Luz ~
I have met some really neat people since I have had this blog and I am glad to call Tom a friend of mine!

One of my favorite episodes of The Flintstones was the one were Ann-Margret played Ann-Margrock. I just loved her in this episode. I thought she was the coolest person ever!!
“The Flintstones” Ann-Margrock Presents (1963)
Mr. Slate’s company is building the Bedrock Bowl, which is about to receive superstar Ann-Margrock for its first show. However, going for a ride, Ann has a flat tire on her sports car and seeks help at the Flintstones’ home. She gets attached to Pebbles. However, as they don’t know who she really is (goes under the name of Annie), Fred and Barney practice for a “talent search show” for a chance to perform with Ann-Margrock herself. Annie decides to help the guys a bit… Written by RealLiveClaude
Just listen to this song and tell me that your toe doesn’t start tapping!!
Voices of the Flintstones
Long live The Flintstones!!

I am on the fence on if I shoulf go see “Avatar” or not. I have read stuff about the movie, seen things on TV about the movie and friends and family have told me how they liked the movie. But there is something stopping me from going to see it.
It might be that it’s a long movie. I sweat I have the attention span of a gnat sometimes and sitting for a long period of time, I get distracted. And if there are people talking or using their cell phones in the theater, forget about it…
Then there is the whole thing about “Avatar” being the highest grossing movie ever in the whole world!! I just read that it is going to top “Titanic” as the highest grossing movie. It took me two years after “Titanic” to come out to finally see it on DVD.
Then there is James Cameron hair! The man needs to go to Great Clips to get a haircut! He has enough money to get one. (OK, this one is a silly reason not to go see the movie.)
So, what shall I do? Maybe I’ll break down and go to the local IMAX theater and go see the movie that is making a gazillion dollars or maybe I’ll just wait for the DVD to come out… I just can’t decide! Or I just might use that movie certificate to go buy theater popcorn (with butter) and some Goobers!

Well the two teams that are going to Super Bowl XLIV are the Indianapolis Colts and the New Orleans Saints. The game will be played at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Now, I did pick the Colts to win the AFC. But I picked the Vikings to win over the Saints. I really didn’t care if the Vikings or the Saints won because as long as the Dallas Cowboys were not going to the Super Bowl, I was fine with whatever team won the NFC Championship.
Now for my pick on who is going to win the Super Bowl… Who Dat?
I have to go with the New Orleans Saints. It’s their first time there and I think the Saints have more. But will see come February 4, which team wants it more.
“Who dat? Who dat? Who dat say dey gonna beat dem Saints?”
