Lee Majors

I was watching TV last night and one of the shows that I was watching was “CSI: NY” and then all of sudden, who was on the TV… LEE MAJORS!

Lee Majors

Lee Majors (born April 23, 1939) is an American television, film and voice actor, best known for his roles as Heath Barkley in the TV series The Big Valley (1965 – 1969), as Colonel Steve Austin in The Six Million Dollar Man (1973–1978) and as Colt Seavers in The Fall Guy (1981–1986). (from wikipedia.com)

I have loved Lee Majors since I first saw him on The Big Valley. Which was on from 1965 – 1969, so I guess I must have seen him in the re-runs of the show. Whenever I first saw him… hubba hubba!

Lee Majors as Heath Barkley

Then I remember him on The Six Million Dollar Man. Man, oh man! I loved that show. I wanted to have bionic implants just like him. Or I wanted to be Lindsay Wagner when they were in The Six Million Dollar Man/The Bionic Woman TV movies together.

I wasn’t really a fan of his next show, The Fall Guy. But I did like him when he was in the movie Scrooged (1988). He was only in the film for a little bit, but it didn’t matter, it was Lee Majors!

It’s funny how seeing him on “CSI:NY” brought back so many memories of him. He will always have a fan in me.

30 Days Of Blogging Honesty Starts In Two Days!

My friend Tom Baker has thrown out the challenge for 30 Days Of Blogging Honesty Starts In Two Days!

Here is what he wrote on his blog:

In case you missed the title, 30 Days Of Blogging Honesty Starts In Two Days! I hope everyone who wanted to participate can follow through and be a part of the thirty days. I hope you have at least a weeks worth of answers finished as well. I’ll be the first to admit that one of the 30 question did not appeal to me and I switched out for the alternate question. Tomorrow’s post will have the list of dares for you to choose from. If you are going to be a part of this and your name is no where to be found, please make me aware of it in the comment section.

Below is a list of all the bloggers who were interested in taking part in 30 Days of Blogging Honesty:

Cherlyn Cochrane
A Single Parent’s Life

Tentative (stop by their blog and guilt them into doing this!)

Sylvia Garza
Sarah Harris

I loved how he tried to guilt me into doing this challenge. But I messaged him back to let him know I was doing the 30 Day challenge and that I had most of the 30 questions already answered.

Like I mentioned before, I will be doing this challenge as well as me usual posts that I do. It should be fun and I’m looking forward to see what the list of dares are going to be.

Have you seen this?

Have you seen this video — “I’m Elmo and I Know It”? It’s Elmo’s parody of  LMFAO song “Sexy and I Know It“.

Now you may be asking, why am I watching an Elmo video? Well, I just love the little guy! And when I saw this video, it made me smile. When I was a kid, Elmo wasn’t on Sesame Street. It was when my friends had children, that I was introduced to Elmo. I’m glad that I read all those Elmo books to my friend’s kids.

I guess that is what Sesame Street and Elmo are suppose to do — make people smile.

Say for the Day

I found this on an old friend, Kim Moorman DuCharme, from high school Facebook page. And I wanted to share it.

LeBron James

I use to work in the sports field and I had first hand experience in how the athletes deal with the fans. I thought it was really cool how the WNBA made it a point that the athletes interact with the fans. I only hoped that the other athletes from other sports teams did the same with their fans.

This past week, I think LeBron James has shown that he does care about his fans and fans of his sport.

LeBron James makes an impression on troops at OKC airport

First, it was being the catalyst in the Heat team photograph showing support for Trayvon Martin’s family.

Now, Miami Heat forward LeBron James impressed with another feel-good moment. On Sunday, The Oklahoman reported James’ nice gesture when the team stopped to refuel on the way to Portland three weeks ago.

The newspaper, quoting an airport worker, said James urged the Heat players to take photos and sign autographs for military personnel. They, too, had stopped to refuel a dozen helicopters, according to the article.

James confirmed the story after the morning shootaround, saying he felt it was necessary to show support of the troops.

“These are guys who put their life in danger every day,” James said.

“If it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t be free. They give us freedom every day. It’s ironic that they would be there at the airport the same time we were there. I got the team together. We all took a picture with all of them. I had a great conversation with them. They do so many great things for America, for all of us. The least we could do was take a picture with them.”

Here is a photo LeBron James posted.

Heat stars Dwyane Wade and James decided, Thursday, March 22, 2012, to make their reactions about the Trayvon Martin situation public, and James felt the best way to do that was the team photo with everyone wearing hoodies. Martin, an unarmed black teenager wearing a hooded sweat shirt, was shot to death on Feb. 26, 2012, in Sanford, Fla. by a neighborhood crime-watch volunteer. Photo: LeBron James Via Twitter / AP

DWTS (Season 14) — Week 2

Well, I just finished watching Dancing with the Stars (U.S. season 14) and voted for my favorite pairs on abc.com. It was an interesting show tonight. So pairs did better than last week and some didn’t do too good. But, I have to say, this season’s stars are some of the best that have ever been on the show.

So, here is my two-cents.

Best pair of the night: Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas — Katherine Jenkins is a really pretty dancer and she doesn’t seem to have an attitude that she is better than everyone else. Must be a British thing, I really like their dance routine and I like to song they danced to also, “Ain’t Nothing Wrong With That” by Robert Randolph and the Family Band.

Whoa, they really need to go home: Martina Navratilova and Tony Dovolani — As much as I want Tony Dovolani to win the mirror trophy, I don’t think it will be this season. But one thing was cool about Martina Navratilova being on the show was that Jimmy Connors was in the audience. I haven’t seen him on TV in a long time.

Martina Navratilova and Tony Dovolani

Surprise of the week: Gladys Knight and Tristan MacManus — I really thought Gladys Knight would do a little better this week. It has nothing to do with age, she did so good last week. I was a little disappointed. But I still Love Tristan MacManus!

Best songs of the night:

Side note:

It seems that the judges are being kind of hard on Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. Grant it, I don’t like them, but they did dance better than some of the other pairs. The judges have said more negative comments than positive comments, in my opinion. Oh, I really didn’t need to know that Melissa Gilbert dated Billy Idol in the 80’s.

Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiy are a fun team to watch. Sherri just seems to be having so much fun out there dancing.

Gavin DeGraw and Karina Smirnoff — Gavin DeGraw is so cute! I loved it when he was talking about Karina and her eye’s turning red and smoke coming out of her ears. I hope he stays a little bit longer. He’s a better singer than dancer.

That was a mighty yellow dress that Brooke Burke Charvet was wearing. And the questions she asks during the interviews? I’m sure the last thing that the stars want after dancing and being out of breathe is to answer a “serious” question by Big Bird (no offense to Big Bird.)

William Levy and Cheryl Burke — I think this pair will do better, I don’t think they will win, but they do good.

“If It’s Magic” by Stevie Wonder

Have you heard this song?

Here is how I heard this song. I was watching the TV movie ” The ’70s” (2000) and in one of the scenes, they played this song. I didn’t know the title of the song or who sung it, so I Googled it. I found out it is “If It’s Magic”, from the album Songs in the Key of Life by Stevie Wonder, released September 28, 1976.

Now I have over 60 Stevie Wonder songs on my iPod and this song is not one of them! Why don’t I have this song? And where have I been that I have not heard this song before?

So, now I have to find this song to add it to my iPod.

Just in case you want to sing along to the video, here you go.

If It’s Magic Lyrics

Artist: Stevie Wonder
Album: Songs In The Key Of Life

If it’s magic…
Then why can’t it be everlasting
Like the sun that always shines
Like the poets in this rhyme
Like the galaxies in time

If it’s pleasing…
Then why can’t it be never leaving
Like the day that never fails
Like on seashores there are shells
Like the time that always tells

It holds the key to every heart
Throughout the universe
It fills you up without a bite
And quenches every thirst

If it’s special
Then with it why aren’t we as careful
As making sure we dress in style
Posing pictures with a smile
Keeping danger from a child

It holds the key to every heart
Throughout the universe
It fills you up without a bite
And quenches every thirst

If it’s magic…
Why can’t we make it everlasting
Like the lifetime of the sun
It will leave no heart undone
For there’s enough for everyone
