OK, let’s see if the SyFy Channel can do it again with “Blast Vegas” like they did with “Sharknado” last week?
Blast Vegas
Thursday, July 18 on SyfyFrankie Muniz (“Malcolm in the Middle”) and Barry Bostwick (“Rocky Horror Picture Show”) star in the Original Movie “Blast Vegas.” A group of wild frat bros and their nerdy tag-along Nelson (Muniz) head to Las Vegas for the spring break of a lifetime. When one of them steals an Egyptian relic from a casino, an ancient curse is unleashed on the fabled strip.
Going in, my exceptions were low (like all the SyFy Original movies that I have seen). And it has not disappointed me yet.
The movie has a actors we use to love when they were kids like:
Frankie Muniz
Andrew Lawrence
Then there is Barry Bostwick. I was waiting to watch him sing “Dammit Janet!”
So far, my exceptions are spot on. I don’t think it’s going to be the big hot that “Sharknado” was last week. But it’s fun and mindless silliness to watch.
I’m going to have to DVR the last part of the movie. I don’t think I’ll be missing any outstanding action moments. But if SyFy pulls another rabbit out of its hat for this movie… I’ll be waiting for the Trifecta when they show another next week!
