Pictures That Changed America

I’m watched the TV show,  “The 80’s: The Decade That Name Us” on the National Geographic Channel.

As I was watching it,  they started talking about Calvin Klien and his underwear.

Then this picture popped up on my TV screen.

My jaw dropped down on my desk.

Tom Hintnaus is also known as the first model in the underwear advertising campaign of designer Calvin Klein. The photograph by Bruce Weber of a well-muscled young man in white briefs, leaning against a thickly white-washed chimney on Santorini Island in Greece, became the iconic image of “male as sex object” in the 1980s. American Photographer magazine named the photo as one of “10 Pictures That Changed America.” (From Wikipedia.com)

And I have to agree, this was a picture that changed America!
