Born: May 12, 1925, The Hill, St. Louis, MO. Died: September 22, 2015, Montclair, NJ

Lawrence Peter “Yogi” Berra was an American professional baseball catcher, manager, and coach who played 19 seasons in Major League Baseball, all but the last for the New York Yankees. Wikipedia

I never got the chance to watch Yogi Berra play baseball. I only knew of him from when he was on TV and through his famous quotes.
His quotes always made me laugh and scratch my head at the same time.

Berra was also well known for his pithy comments, malapropisms, and witticisms, known as Yogi-isms. Yogi-isms very often take the form of either an apparently obvious tautology or a paradoxical contradiction

Thanks for the memories of you playing baseball and leaving us with  all of your quotes that will live on forever.
