iPad Air… Should I or Shouldn’t I

For the past couple of months I have been hemming and hawing on getting an iPad Air.

iPad 2

I really don’t need one, I already have a Samsun Galaxy Tab 4 – 7″ tablet that is less than nine months old. I works perfectly well and I brought all the accessories to go along with it.

But, I just feel the need to get an iPad.

Now, if I was smart, I could sell that tablet and some other gadgets that I am not using to pay for the iPad, but I’m not that smart yet.

I used to have an iPad, but I sold that one to a friend. I think I want to go back to an iPad after using a Samsung tablet for the past two years.

I just don’t know what to do? I really don’t need one. I have some “fun” cash saved. Should I or shouldn’t I get one?

I’m so torn on what to do. Maybe I’ll wait till the end of the month, to see how things are going at work, to make my decision.

Will see if I have hold out that log.

Stay tuned…

Luscious Lemon Squares

I got this recipe in my e-mails from the Betty Crocker Newsletter. I really need to break down and go to the store to get the ingredients to make these.

Lemon Bars

Luscious Lemon Squares

Ingredients

1 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons grated lemon peel, if desired
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs

Powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350ºF.
  2. Mix flour, butter and powdered sugar. Press in ungreased square pan, 8x8x2 or 9x9x2 inches, building up 1/2-inch edges.
  3. Bake crust 20 minutes.
  4. Beat granulated sugar, lemon peel, lemon juice, baking powder, salt and eggs with electric mixer on high speed about 3 minutes or until light and fluffy. Pour over hot crust.
  5. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until no indentation remains when touched lightly in center. Cool; dust with powdered sugar. Cut into about 1 1/2-inch squares.

It is my goal to make these Lemon Bars this month! I’ll post a picture of the finish bars after I make them.

Found A Summer Drink

Look what I found. Just might need to add this to my Summer Drink list.

Side Note:

I might even use my brand new Ninja blender. Cody would be so proud of me.

Pictures from 2013

I have been going through my folders on my laptop and I was looking over the pictures I had in the 2013 Folder.

Here are some of them.

Dancing With The Stars (Season 22) — Week 1

Dancing With The Stats… This is how I got started writing my blog several years ago.

Now we are on Season 22 of the show. And after watching the premiere last night. I think I can my picks on who I think is going to win the mirror ball trophy this season.

Ginger Zee and Valentin Chmerkovskiy

Ginger is a pretty perky person, but I like her. Maybe I’m used to her since I watch her on Good Morning America. And Val, well Val is Val. I’m just waiting for the shirt to come off.

Side Notes:

Favorite Songs of the night:

  • “Motownphilly” by Boyz II Men
  • “Treasure” by Bruno Mars
  • “Sweet Caroline” by Neil Diamond
  • “Bad Man”—Pitbull feat. Robin Thicke, Joe Perry & Travis Barker

I’m looking forward to watching the show this seasons. Only thing is the I started watching The Voice and it’s on the same time as DWTS.

So, I’ll be going back and forth trying to watch both shows at the same time.

Just What I Needed

I’ve said it before, it freaks me out when I see something posted and it’s just what I need to read.

I’ve been thinking of Joe these past couple of weeks and I still can’t believe it sometimes.

iTunes Library: Change the World

.I was going through my iTunes library and I found some songs that I haven’t heard in a while. One of the was, “Change The World” by Eric Clapton.

Change_the_World_Primary_Cover

Change the World” is a pop song written by Tommy Sims, Gordon Kennedy, and Wayne Kirkpatrick whose best-known version was recorded by the British recording artist Eric Clapton for the soundtrack of the 1996 film, Phenomenon. The track was produced by pop music record producer Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds. (From Wikipedia.com)

This song won the Grammy Awards for Song of the Year, Record of the Year and Best Male Pop Vocal Performance in 1997.

The play count on in my iTunes library is 35 times.  I especially like this song because of the background vocals by Babyface. And it’s on my Quick List, these are the songs that I like to hear over and over again.

Here is the live version of the song.

Change The World by Eric Clapton

If I can reach the stars
Pull one down for you
Shine it on my heart
So you could see the truth
That this love I have inside
Is everything it seems
But for now I find
It’s only in my dreams

And I can change the world
I will be the sunlight in your universe
You would think my love was really something good
Baby if I could change the world

If i could be king
Even for a day
I’d take you as my queen
I’d have it no other way
And our love would rule
This kingdom we had made
Till then I’d be a fool
Wishing for the day

That I can change the world
I would be the sunlight in your universe
You would think my love was really something good
Baby if I could change the world
Baby if I could change the world
