I smell cake!*
WOW! It’s been a crazy past couple of days. There have been three actors and entertainers who have passed away recently. Actors and entertainers we grew up watching/listening to have been passing away.
Prince (Prince Rogers Nelson) (June 7, 1958 – April 21, 2016)
Joan “Chyna” Lauer (December 27, 1970 – April 17-20, 2016)
Doris Roberts (November 4, 1925 – April 17, 2016)
I wanted to share my favorite songs by Prince. I grow up listen to his music.
- “I Wanna Be Your Lover” (1979) (Click Here for Video)
- “1999” (1982)
- “Little Red Corvette“, “Delirious“(1983)
- “When Doves Cry“, “Let’s Go Crazy“, “Purple Rain“, “I Would Die 4 U” (1984)
- “I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man” (1987)
- “Thieves in the Temple” (1990)
- “Diamonds and Pearls” (1991)
I have to go with the first song that I ever heard by Prince:
If you want to see/hear what an amazing guitar player Prince was, you need to watch this video of Prince, Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff Lynne, Dhani Harrison and others — “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”. What talent that man had.
I saw this quote. If Eric Clapton, who I think is one of the world’s best guitarist says this… WOW!
Eric Clapton was asked about how it felt to be the world’s best guitarist. His response: “I don’t know. Ask Prince.”
R.I.P. and thank you for leaving your legacy for us to always have.
* My brother, Joe and I would always say this to each other after someone famous died.
“I smell cake! If Uncle Bernie died, someone’s gonna have to go on a beer run!”— Dan Dorian
“My Cake” is the sixth episode of Scrubs’ fourth season. J.D.’s father dies and he and his brother Dan have to cope with it.
