Laugh for the Day

I’m 49 years old and I have realized I still have so many unanswered questions! I never found out who let the dogs out… the way to get to Sesame Street… why Dora doesn’t just use Google Maps… why we don’t ever see the headline “Psychic Wins Lottery”… why women can’t put on mascara with their mouth closed… why “abbreviated” is such a long word… why lemon juice is made with artificial flavor yet dish-washing liquid is made with real lemons… why they sterilize the needle for lethal injections… and, why do you have to “put your two cents in” but it’s only a “penny for your thoughts.” Where’s that extra penny?  Why do ‘The Alphabet Song’ and ‘Twinkle Twinkle Little Star’ have the same tune?  Why did you just try to sing those two previous songs?  And just what is Victoria’s secret? Why do we drive on parkways and park in driveways.?

…and do you really think I am this witty? … I actually stole this from a friend who stole it from a friend of her brother’s girlfriend’s Uncle’s cousin’s, baby mamma’s Doctor… Now it is your turn to steal it from me… LOL

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Places to Eat in San Antonio

Here’s a short list of some of the restaurants that I want to eat at in San Antonio, Texas.

  • Dough Pizzeria Napoletana
  • Magnolia Pancake Haus
  • Earl Abel’s Restaurant
  • The Guenther House
  • Big Lou’s Pizza
  • Pasha Mediterranean Grill

These are all places that I have not been to yet.

I’ll post when I make it to these restaurants.

Bon Appétit!

Tossin’ and Turnin’

I was listening to my radio and this song came on and put a smile on my face.

Tossin’ and Turnin’” (1961) by Bobby Lewis.

What a fun song to listen to. I would have love to seen the reaction of people when this song first came out.

I’ve already listened to it about seven times now.

Here are the lyrics, just in case you want to sing along.

Tossin’ and Turnin’” by Bobby Lewis

Baby, baby, you did something to me

I couldn’t sleep at all last night
Just thinkin’ of you
Aw baby things weren’t right
Well I was tossin’ and turnin’
Turnin’ and tossin’
Tossin’ and turnin’ all night

I kicked the blankets on the floor
Turned my pillow upside down
I never never did before
‘Cause I was tossin’ and turnin’
Turnin’ and tossin’
Tossin’ and turnin’ all night

Jumped outta bed
Turned on the light
I pulled down the shade, went to the kitchen for a bite
Rolled up the shade
Turned out the light
I jumped back into bed it was the middle of the night

The clock downstairs was strikin’ four
Couldn’t get you of my mind
I heard the milkman at the door
‘Cause I was tossin’ and turnin’
Turnin’ and tossin’
Tossin’ and turnin’ all night

Jumped outta bed
Turned on the light
I pulled down the shade, went to the kitchen for a bite
Rolled up the shade
Turned off the light
I jumped back into bed it was the middle of the night

The clock downstairs was strikin’ four
Couldn’t get you of my mind
I heard the milkman at the door
‘Cause I was tossin’ and turnin’
Turnin’ and tossin’
Tossin’ and turnin’ all night

Hey hey hey she had me
Tossin’ and turnin’
Turnin’ and Tossin’
A tossin’ and turnin’ all night

Tossin’ and turnin’
Turnin’ and tossin’
Tossin’ and turnin’ all night

Baby baby baby got me
Tossin’ and turnin’
Turnin’ and tossin’
Tossin’ and turnin’ all night

First Road Trip in the Terrain

Well, I’m planning my first road trip in my new GMC Terrain. I’m not sure where I want to go. My choices right now are:

Shreveport, Louisiana

or

South Padre Island, Texas

I’ve never been to the Northern part of Louisiana before. So that would be something different. It’s about six hours away from it live and it’s in a route I’ve never been on. A co-worker even gave me two suggestions on where to eat if I go there.

South Padre Islands is about three hours away and I’ve been close to it, but never there on the island.

Could be nice to see? I haven’t been to the Gulf of Mexico since my “drive” in the Gulf of Mexico last year. Not sure I want to drive my car on the beach yet.

So, I’m planning to take this road trip next month. I just need to decide where to go.

Any suggestions from anyone who reads my blog?

Thank You

I want to thank my family and friends who posted comments on my Facebook post of my brother, Joe’s birthday. Many came from friends far away and whom I haven’t seen in years. But through Facebook, have reconnected.

I was all over the place with my emotions. A smile would come to my face when u thought of a funny moment. A tear would roll down my cheek when I got sad that he was gone.

But the comments really helped me and it let me know that Joe will be remembered by others, just not me.

I am truly blessed to have such good and caring people in my life who took a few moments of their time to think of me and my family.

So, brother, Happy Birthday in heaven and give mom a hug and a kiss from me.

❤️

Happy Birthday, Joe

Wishing a Happy Birthday in heaven to my brother, Joe Garza. You would have been 48 years old today. Even though you were the typical pesky little brother, what I would give to have you here to bother me for one more day.
❤️
