Fun Movie

Have you ever sat through a movie and thought to yourself, why I’m I watching this movie?

Well, “Can’t Stop The Music” is one of those movies to me.

Can’t Stop the Music is a 1980 American musical comedy film directed by Nancy Walker. Written by Allan Carr and Bronté Woodard, the film is a pseudo-biography of disco’s Village People which bears only a vague resemblance to the actual story of the group’s formation.  (From Wikipedia.com)

The cast:

  • Steve Guttenberg as Jack Morell
  • Valerie Perrine as Samantha “Sam” Simpson
  • Bruce Jenner as Ron White
  • Paul Sand as Steve Waits
  • Tammy Grimes as Sydney Channing

Village People:

  • Alex Briley as Alex
  • David Hodo as David
  • Glenn Hughes as Glenn
  • Randy Jones as Randy
  • Felipe Rose as Felipe
  • Ray Simpson as Ray

Some of the music from the movie:

  • “Can’t Stop the Music”
  • “Samantha” (David London)
  • “Give Me a Break” (The Ritchie Family)
  • “Magic Night”
  • “Milkshake”
  • “Y.M.C.A.”
  • “Sophistication” (The Ritchie Family)

Ever time this movie is on TV, I’m usually there watch and singing to it.
