I Smell Cake*

Well, today was a sad day for an icon from youth.

Mary Tyler Moore, whose witty and graceful performances on two top-rated television shows in the 1960s and ’70s helped define a new vision of American womanhood, died on Wednesday in Greenwich, Conn. She was 80.

I was a fan of her show “The Mary Tyler Moore Show.”

I watched the reruns of “The Dick Van Dyke,” but know her better from her own show.

So sad that our stars from are youth are passing away.

At least we will always have her TV shows and movies to watch.

And here is one of my Top 10 TV Theme songs…

R.I.P. Mary Tyler Moore.

You did turn the world on with your smile.
