Time of My Life

I wasn’t really into watching the Super Bowl this year. But I watched it and this was by far my favorite commercial.

My nephew, Brad and niece, Pam did this dance at each other’s wedding last year.

And who knew Eli Manning could dance?

Defunct Restaurant Chains

I saw this post and wanted to share some of the Defunct Restaurant Chains that I remember going to.

Howard Johnson’s — Only went there a couple of times. A good place for diner food.

Kenny Rogers’ Roasters — There was one in my hometown of Flint, Michigan. It was in a food court and I only went there once.

Chi-Chi’s — one of my favorite “white” Mexican restaurants. I loved their Fried Ice Cream. My brother, Joe, would get the Seafood Enchiladas every time we went there.

Burger Chef — I liked this place because they had a condiment bar where you could add your own to your burger. As a kid, I thought that was pretty cool.

Bob’s Big Boy — Loved that place. My mom would get the Patty Melt, I would get the Big Boy Burger. I loved the garlic dressing they had for their salads. And the Chocolate Layer Cake… too die for!

Bennigan’s — Three words… Monte Cristo Sandwich! What a strange sandwich… savory and sweet at the same time.

Ponderosa Steakhouse — A weekly family place to go. I remember when you walked through the line to get your meal. Then they added the salad bar… whoa!! Making your own salad with the things you liked with a ton of 1000 Island’s Dressing!! Heaven!

A&W Drive-Ins — There were a couple of these in my hometown. Loved parking the car and eating hot dogs with the read sauce and popcorn, And the Root Beer was so frosty and cold.

Funny, how remember these places brought back fond memories.
