Port Aransas… Just What I Needed

Last night I decided I was going to take a day trip to one of my favorite places, Port Aransas on the Gulf of Mexico.

It’s about a 1.5 hour drive from where I live and it’s a nice drive to get there.

I got there around 2:00, in time for lunch at The Beach Lodge and had a Shrimp Basket. It was really tasty.

Then I found a place to park so I could do my 3-mile walk.

I started at the pier and then went walking on the beach. It was just right out, 86 degrees, sunny and blue skies.

Then I parked my car down the beach to eat my dinner. I wanted to stay until sunset, so I took another mile walk on the beach. Here are the sunset pictures I took.

It was so perfect. Walking on the beach, wind in my hair and watching the beach best.

While I was walking on the beach, I saw this that someone wrote in the sand.

I love you Mom. What a perfect way to end my day on the beach.

I will be heading back here soon. I’m not going to wait for the right time, because there is never a right time to do anything. You just have to do it!
