Happy Birthday Joe

Today would have been my little brother, Joe, 51st birthday.

He will be celebrating in heaven with my mom. It’s has almost been five years since Joe died. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of Joe. The good, bad and the ugly. We were supposed to grow old together.

I can picture him in heaven, celebrating his birthday with a strawberry cake with strawberry frosting. Eating a box of cereal. Downloading all the movies and TV shows he can. Eating something our mom made just for him. Listening to “Free Bird.” And drinking a Lemon-lime slush with extra fruit from Sonic.

So, Happy Birthday, Joe. I miss you and I love you, as much as one can love a pain-in-the ass little brother.

I’ll have a Lemon-lime slush with extra fruit from Sonic for you today.

Tell mom I love her and miss her too! ❤

Well, I wanted to start sharing my adventures with someone and we went to, Japanese Tea Garden in San Antonio. It was his first time there. It was really pretty there. I will be going back there again.

I was so happy he enjoyed himself.

The San Antonio Japanese Tea Garden, or Sunken Gardens in Brackenridge Park, San Antonio, Texas, USA opened in an abandoned limestone rock quarry in the early 20th century. It was known also as Chinese Tea Gardens, Chinese Tea Garden Gate, Chinese Sunken Garden Gate and is listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.

Gonzales, Texas

I went somewhere new with a special friend this past weekend… Gonzales, Texas.

I have drove past there a couple if times, but never stopped and checked it out.

A friend and I spent the weekend there and ate at some of the local restaurants and went to the State park, Palmetto State Park. it was a beautiful weekend and the company made the visit even more special.

Here are some pictures from our time in the park. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of what Gonzales has to offer.
