Never Forget

On this day… 17 years ago 246 people went to sleep in preparation for their morning flights. 2,606 people went to sleep in preparation for work in the morning tomorrow. 343 firefighters went to sleep in preparation for their morning shift. 60 police officers went to sleep in preparation for morning patrol. 8 paramedics went to sleep in preparation for the morning shift of saving lives. None of them saw past 10:00am Sept 11, 2001. In one single moment life may never be the same. As you live and enjoy the breaths you take today and tonight before you go to sleep in preparation for your life tomorrow, kiss the ones you love, snuggle a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.

Never forget.

Happy July 4th

Happy 4th of July!

Thought I would Google and refresh my memory on what today is.

Independence Day, also referred to as the Fourth of July or July Fourth, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The Continental Congress declared that the thirteen American colonies regarded themselves as a new nation, the United States of America, and were no longer part of the British Empire. The Congress actually voted to declare independence two days earlier, on July 2.

New President of the United States

Well, we have a new President of the United States… Donald Trump.

Regardless of who you voted for, there were something’s that I saw and read during this election that were sad.

Probably one of the best thing I read was posted on Facebook by someone I went to school with.

“Today’s obviously a big, passionate day for a lot of us. Please, please, please don’t let the emotions lead you to gloat over the outcome. People on both sides are worried and have strong beliefs. And the “in your face” kind of attitude we saw with the last two elections does nothing more than further divide this country. I will pray for whomever is elected. I don’t put my hope in man because they’re only imperfect humans. Get out there and vote, but put your hope in God. I know mine is.” Thank you Kim.

I really hope that people don’t gloat or gave that “in your face” attitude. But from what I’ve seen, I’m afraid that there will be people who will be doing that.

Let’s take the high road and agree that everyone has the right to their own opinion and no one has a right to bully you because if your beliefs.

Remember These

Here are some things from when I was growing up. Can’t believe it’s the things I remember having and wish that they were still around.

I had to add a picture of Jake from “Sixteen Candels.”

Happy 4th of July

Gotta love Wikipedia for letting me know what the 4th of July stands for.

Independence Day of the United States, also referred to as the Fourth of July or July Fourth in the U.S., is a federal holiday commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, by the Continental Congress declaring that the thirteen American colonies regarded themselves as a new nation, the United States of America, and no longer part of the British Empire. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, and political speeches and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Independence Day is the National Day of the United States.

Have a great week.
