DWTS (Season 21) — First Team Voted Off

Here is my pre-show prediction on who I want to be the first team voted off the show.

Kim Zolciak and Tony Dovolani.

Just reading the stories that are online, turned me off of her being on the show even more.

Kim Zolciak is well on her way to becoming Dancing with the Stars’ biggest diva this season, creating even more drama her partner Tony Dovolani than Kate Gosselin did back on Season 14. Read more at: http://tr.im/1x9QK

I feel bad for Tony Dovolani. This is the second time his “star” partner has gotten him voted off early on the show.

I’ll post after the show to see how my prediction went.

Well, looks like Kim and Tony survived to dance another day. Surprisingly, they did a pretty decent dance.

Chaka Khan and Keo Motsepe were the first to get voted off. I m OK with that. as long as she comes back and sings during the finales.

So who will be the 2nd team eliminated?
I have to go with Gary Busey and Anna Trebunskay. Bless his heart, the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s must have bee really good for him. And she looks like someone trying to calm diwn a 2-year old hyped on Mt. Dew.

Side Note

Please let this be the last season with Erin Andrews. I’m getting tried of muting the volume every time she trys to interview the teams.

DWTS — Final Week

Well Dancing with the Stars (Season 13) is coming to an end and the finals were on tonight. I thought it was a pretty good show.

Here are my final two cents of the season.

I was really surprised on how well Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke did. Their first dance, Waltz, wasn’t their best. But their Freestyle was really good. I think this pair has improved each week and it showed in the finals.

I also was surprised that Ricki Lake  and Derek Hough  and J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff didn’t perform as they have in the past.

If Rob and Cheryl don’t win, then I want J.R. and Karina to win. I think it’s time for Karina to final win the mirror ball trophy.

Here are my final picks for the season of who I want to win:

Rob Kardashian & Cheryl Burke

  1. Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke
  2. J.R. Martinez and Karina Smirnoff
  3. Ricki Lake  and Derek Hough

Side notes:

Looking forward to seeing Chynna Phillips, Carson Kressley, and David Arquette dance on the final show. And of course my favorite professional dance of the season — Tristan MacManus!!

Don’t care how nicey-nice Maksim Chmerkovskiy tries to look on TV, I still don’t like him for the way he acted on the show. Or is it “his” show? I get confused.

Ricki really needs to stop talking like she is still a fat person. She’s not fat anymore. I hope on her new talk show, she doesn’t talk about her being fat or comparing herself to Cheryl or Karina??

Favorite songs of the  night:

Looking forward to seeing the last show of the season tomorrow night!

Dancing with the Stars (Season 11)

Yes, another season of Dancing with the Stars (Season 11) is around the corner and I am actually looking forward to watching the show. The range of “stars” that are this season show hits all generations!

Here is the list of who will be on the show this season and who they are dancing with:

I’m going to take a couple of weeks to make my picks. As I have done in the past, I will be posting which team I thought did the best, which team I thought did the worst and what team should go home. I will also be picking my favorite sone that was used during a dance.

Looking forward to the season to start!

DWTS Week 10

Well, this it, the end of Dancing with the Stars (Season 10) is about to the end and I’m still up in the air with who I think should win. Before the season started, I wanted Evan Lysacek and Anna Trebunskaya to win. But as the season went on, other teams like Nicole Scherzinger and Derek Hough and Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy did a great job to end up in the finals.

This season has been interesting. I have liked most of the “stars” on the show, but as I have mentioned in the past, I just could not stand Kate Gosselin. I was glad that I recorded the show, because I could fast forward every time she was on. Not looking forward to seeing on tomorrow’s finale.

So, I guess it doesn’t matter who wins the mirror ball trophy tomorrow night, they all proved that they should be in the finals and anyone of them would make a great champion for Season 10.

Here are my final picks:

  • Best Freestyle Dance: Nicole and Derek
  • Team I would like to win: Evan and Nicole
  • Team that is going to win: Nicole and Derek
  • Best song of the night: “A Little Less Conversation“—Elvis Presley

DWTS (Week 10) — The Finals

Well the DWTS (Season 9) finals were on tonight and the last three teams were:

I think this is the first time that I liked all three teams in the DWTS finals. All of them were good and had some pretty good dances. But I think I will have to go with my pre-season pick and favorite star — Donny & Kym.

The scores for tonight’s show were: Mýa & Dmitry — 87, Donny & Kym — 85 and Kelly & Louis — 76.

None of the three teams had an outstanding free style dance, so I think it is going to be the fans vote that will choose which team will win the mirror ball trophy. And that team will be Donny & Kym.

Side Notes:

Favorite song of the night — “Maniac“—Michael Sembello

Favorite professional dancer: Dmitry Chaplin

DWTS — Double-Elimination

Well, the last night of the three-night premiere ended with the double-elimination of Ashley Hamilton and Edyta Śliwińska and Macy Gray and Jonathan Roberts.

Ashley Hamilton & Edyta Sliwinska

Macy Gray & Jonathan Roberts

I think the right teams were picked to be the first to leave. The only sad thing is that both Edyta and Jonathan seem to be paired with celebrities that get voted off first. Like I mentioned before, Jonathan really needs to be paired with someone good next season.

Side Notes:

The Lion King number was really good. And of course, here in San Antonio, right after that aired, they showed a commercial about The Lion King playing in town.

The Patrick Swayze tribute was really good too. And Tony Dovolani dancing at the end… I like him! 🙂

After the first week,  I’m about 75% sure of my pre-season pick of Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson winning. But after seeing Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough, Mýa and Dmitry Chaplin and Kelly Osbourne and Louis van Amstel dance, it could be another win for the women this season!

DWTS (Season 9) — Week 1 — The Women

Tonight’s show was all about the women. It seemed like the women had a harder time than the men did last night. Grant it, the men have a different role in the dances, they just seemed a little better (some of them).

Here are my picks on who did the best, who needs to go and who surprised me.

Did the best: Kelly Osbourne and Louis van Amstel. Plus Ozzy Osbourne was there — the “Prince of Darkness” was crying!! (I will not pick Joanna Krupa (see below), no matter how much they go ga-ga over her!)

Kelly Osbourne & Louis Van Amstel

Kelly Osbourne & Louis Van Amstel

Opps… someone has to be first: Macy Gray and Jonathan Roberts — Jonathan deserves to have better partners than he has had!

Holy Cow, didn’t know she could dance (almost): Macy Gray and Jonathan Roberts (from going to not being able to pronounce that Viennese Waltz to almost looking like she knew what she was doing. Good thing that they don’t score on being a lady.)

This is going to be a long season with the judges (MEOW!) I think this will be the season that we see Len Goodman and  Bruno Tonioli get into a fight! And listening to Samantha Harris and her attempts of being fun and entertaining when she talks the teams after they dance.

After two nights, here are somethings already on my nerves (besides Samantha): Joanna Krupa, didn’t like her on television show Superstars and I’m not liking her so far. Then there is her partner, Derek Hough, that guy talks way too much! And then there is Tom DeLay needs to stop being so “cheeky”… wait can I use Tom Delay and “cheeky” in the same thought?

Side notes:

  • What were Jermanine and LaToya Jackson doing in the crowd?
  • Dmitry Chaplin (Catcall whistle)

DWTS (Season 9) — Week 1 — The Men

Well, the first night of a three-night premiere featured the men. Here is who I think did the best, who should go home first and who surprised me the most.

Did the best: Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff. Even though I’m still rooting for Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson, this team was the best of the night.

Aaron Carter & Karina Smirnoff

Opps… someone has to be first: Ashley Hamilton and Edyta Śliwińska

Holy Cow, didn’t know he could dance: Tom DeLay and Cheryl Burke. They were in the middle of the pack… I was surprised that he dance as well as he did. Not great, but didn’t suck to bad.

One of my favorite things that Wikipedia — Dancing with the Stars (U.S. season 9) does is list the songs that the teams dance to. I think for tonight’s show the song I liked the best was “Beggin’“—Madcon. This was the first time I every heard this song and I liked it. Here are the other ones that were on tonight’s show:

They didn’t have the last song from the Viennese Waltz relay dance.

I’m looking forward to see how the ladies do tomorrow night.

DWTS — My three picks for the finals…

Here are my three picks for the finals on Dancing With the Stars:

Brooke Burke and Derek Hough

Warren Sapp and Kym Johnson

Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer

And who do I want to win this season:

Brooke and Derek

DWTS — Week 7

Here is my latest take on the dance on this week’s show.

Warren Sapp and Kym Johnson – (Foxtrot) What’s happening with Warren. He used to be so fun to watch and these past couple of weeks he just doesn’t seem to be there.

Susan Lucci and Tony Dovolani – (Paso Doble) Hey… Tony’s shirt is unbutton — SURPRISE!! I think Susan did a pretty good job with the dance. But there is something missing from her dances… the spunk of “Erica Kane”.

Maurice Greene and Cheryl Burke – (Cha-Cha-Cha) I agree this was probably his best dance so far. I think he did well enough to make it to the next season. Plus I liked the song that they danced to: “Cupid Shuffle” by Cupid.

Cody Linley and Edyta Śliwińska (filling in for Julianne this week) – (Viennese Waltz) It may not have been the perfect, but the spaz… I mean Cody did well.

Lance Bass and Lacey Schwimmer – (Rumba) There should be a rule in ballroom dancing — There is no crying in ballroom dancing… aka the “Shannon Rule”. Man, I don’t want them to win. I agree with Len, I didn’t like their dance.

Brooke Burke and Derek Hough – (Foxtrot) The first 30 of the season!! First of all, I think Brooke and Derek should win this year. They are so much better than Lance and Lacey. They just have to do what they have been doing and they will win at the end.

Here is my favorite couple for the week:

And here is who I think should be voted off:
