Dancing With The Stars — Season 23… The Finals

Well, this is the topic that started my blogging several years ago.

Here is my post from the start of the season. My Early-bird pick to win it all was: Laurie Hernandez and pro Valentin Chmerkovskiy.

Did they win?? Yes, they did!

I think this might have been one of the best seasons. If Laurie and Val didn’t win, I would have wanted James and Sharna to win.

The new season of Dancing With The Stars starts tonight. As I have done in the past, I will pick my early-bird pick to win it all and who I think should go home first.

  • Ryan Lochte will be dancing with Cheryl Burke
  • Laurie Hernandez, will be dancing with Val Chmerkovskiy
  • Maureen McCormick, will be dancing with Artem Chigvintsev
  • Amber Rose, will be dancing with Maksim Chmerkovskiy
  • Terra Jole, will be dancing with Sasha Farber
  • Marilu Henner, will be dancing with Derek Hough
  • Gov. Rick Perry, will be dancing with Emma Slater
  • Jake T. Austin, will be dancing with Jenna Johnson
  • Calvin Johnson, will be dancing with Lindsay Arnold
  • Babyface, will be dancing with Allison Holker
  • Vanilla Ice, will be dancing with Witney Carson
  • James Hinchcliffe, will be dancing with Sharna Burgess
  • Jana Kramer, will be dancing with Gleb Valchenko

First to go: Rick Perry and pro Emma Slater

I’m looking forward in watching the show this season to see how my pick does.

Dancing with the Stars (Season 18)

Here we go again, the show that helped me start my blog so many years ago…

The new cast for Dancing with the Stars (U.S. season 18) was announced this morning. As I have done for the past 17 season, I will do my Early-bird picks of who I think will win, who needs to be voted off and who I think will be the fan’s favorite (new pick for me this season.)

Here are the couples for Dancing with the Stars (Season 18):

Dancing With The Stars, Cast

My Early-bird pick to win the mirror trophy: Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy — this could finally be the season Maksim wins.

Whoa… nice try, but… Diana Nyad and Henry Byalikov — as much as I like Diana Nyad, I think she a better swimmer than dancer.

Fan’s favoite(s) — I’m going to go with Charlie White and Sharna Burgess and Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy. The finals with the 2014 Olympic Champions… I think that would be fun to watch.

As much as I didn’t like  Brooke Burke-Charvet, her replacement Erin Andrews as co-host… I’m not too sure about that one either.

The final pairs of season 15 are:

Well after three months, it comes down to the final three pair. Tonight’s show was good and all three pairs did their best.

And the pair that I think deserves to win is Melissa and Tony. There is no drama like with Kelly and Val; no stunts and breaking to rules like Shawn and Derek. Melissa and Tony dance like they know what they are doing plus being entertaining.

Best song(s) of the night —

Conga“—Gloria Estefan/Miami Sound Machine

I have always loved this song. If this song doesn’t get you moving, nothing will.

Side note:

The picture of the three finalists is from Dancing with the Stars Facebook page. Why did they pick a picture of Kelly looking so mean? That is one of the reason that I don’t care for Kelly.

I think it is time for Carrie Ann Inaba to leave. She is just too over the top sometimes. And that is hard to do when you have Bruno Tonioli sitting next to you.

While I watch the show, I am on the social media site, Get Glue. I have has so much fun posting on Get Glue with other DWTS fans. Sometimes, someone gets their panties in a bunch, but overall it is god, clean fun.

All-Star Teams

Dancing with the Stars — The All-Stars — Week 9

Dancing with the Stars — The All-Stars

Week 9: Semi-finals

The five remaining couples have two dances each this week: one unlearned dance to the music from Michael Jackson‘s album Bad and one dance chosen by the other couples. The theme of the last dance was also chosen by the other couples. Kelly and Val chose the “Caveman” Hustle for Melissa and Tony, Emmitt and Cheryl chose the “Knight Rider” Bhangra for Shawn and Derek, Gilles and Peta chose the “Big Top” Jazz for Apolo and Karina and Shawn and Derek chose the “Espionage” Lindy Hop for Emmitt and Cheryl. This left the “Surfer” Flamenco for Kelly and Val. Gilles and Peta would have danced the “Mad Monk” Merengue chosen by Apolo and Karina had they not been eliminated.

There will also be another double elimination this week, due to the Finals.

The final pairs of season 15 are:

Now the only star that has not won is Melissa Rycroft. All season long, I have said that I really want Tony Dovolani to finally win a mirror ball trophy. But that would mean Melissa would need to win too. I really have never liked Melissa. But if I want my pick to win, I guess I have to root for her too.

Plus, I really think that a star who has not won, should win this season.

So my lick (finally) of who I want to win this season… Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani. They have really done a really good job this season and they have improved since the first time they were on the show. So they deserve it.

Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani

Best song(s) of the night —

Man in the Mirror“—Michael Jackson
