Hedwig and the Angry Inch

This afternoon, I went to The Tobin Center to see Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

Hedwig and the Angry Inch is a 1998 musical about a fictional rock and roll band fronted by an East German genderqueer singer.

The show starred,  Tony and Olivier Award-nominated Euan Morton and Hannah Corneau.

The show was amazing. The music, the acting, the set and the band was amazing.

I didn’t know anything about the play and I just sat in wonder wayching everything.

One of my favorite things about the show was the bass player, Matt Duncan (the one with the green hair.)

He was to cool place not the bass and singing background.

I was going back and forth on if I wanted to see this show, but I finally defended to buy a ticket. And I’m so glad I did.

I really want to see it again, just to catch what I missed.

So, I’ve already downloaded the Broadway soundtrack. Saw a couple of YouTube videos.

Now, I have to pget class the next show I’m going to see.

Mamma Mia!

The other night I had the chance to see Mamma Mia! at The Tobin Center.

It’s the show Farewell Tour and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity of seeing it at one of my favorite places.

All I can say is WOW! What a show.

I love ABBA, I liked the movie, so I was really looking forward to a good show. And I wasn’t disappointed.

Right from the opening note, it was amazing.

If you don’t know anything about the play, here’s a little snippet of what it’s about.

The long-running Broadway musical Mamma Mia!, which ended its New York run earlier this season, has announced that it is embarking on a “final farewell tour” in the 2016-17 season that will hit some 30 cities across North America.

The show, which is built around the songs of ABBA composers Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, closed on Broadway September 12, 2015, after a 14-year run. It is still playing in London’s West End, continuing an 18-year run.

But my most favorite part of the play was the music. There is just something about ABBA music that makes you happy.

Here is the list of music that the sang and danced to. Not only on the stage, but in my chair.

  1. Overture/Prologue
  2. Honey, Honey
  3. Money, Money, Money
  4. Thank You For The Music
  5. Mamma Mia
  6. Chiquitita
  7. Dancing Queen
  8. Lay All Your Love On Me
  9. Super Trouper
  10. Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!
  11. The Name Of The Game
  12. Voulez-Vous
  13. Entr’acte
  14. Under Attack
  15. One Of Us
  16. S.O.S.
  17. Does Your Mother Know
  18. Knowing Me, Knowing You
  19. Our Last Summer
  20. Slipping Through My Fingers
  21. The Winner Takes It All
  22. Take A Chance On Me
  23. I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do
  24. I Have A Dream

My favorite songs would be:

I’m so glad that I went to see the play.

Now, I’m off to watch the movie on my phone.

The Price Is Right LIVE

OMG! Tonight, I’m going to see The Price Is Right LIVE at The Tobin Center in San Antonio with my friend, Amanda.

The Price Is Right LIVE! is a staged production show based on the television game show The Price Is Right. Todd Newton will be the host.

I cannot wait. The Price is Right has always been my favorite game show. And the chance of seeing it live… WOW!

My friend, Amanda is going early to try to be one of the lucky ones to get picked to play. Me, I just want to be in the audience cheering on the lucky ones who get picked and watch everyone go crazy when the theme music comes on and games are being played.

I only hope they play some of my favorite game Plinko, I will be over the moon.

This is something I can check off my Bucket List… To see a game show live.

Tomorrow, I’ll post my update and pictures from the show.
