Family and friends, this has to be the 2nd saddest post I’ve had to put on here. This morning, my brother Joe Garza, passed away. These past couple of weeks, he wasn’t feeling well and they found out he had a weak heart. He went back into the hospital on Sunday and up to this morning he was joking around, being his typical self — I know, you’re surprised. But then this morning, he went down hill fast and they tried to bring him back, but with no luck. He wanted to be cremated and have a BBQ get together when he died. So that is what we are going to do in a couple of weeks. So now, he’s in heaven with our mom… driving her crazy with his jokes. Joe, I’m going to miss you and give mom a hug from me. (Sorry if we missed any family before posting this.)
It’s been 37 years since Elvis Presley died. I remember were I was when I heard the news. I was playing with the console stereo/TV and then I heard the announcement. I was only 10 years old, but I was sad to hear that one if my favorite singers had past away.
Being an Elvis fan since I can remember, I always take a moment in August 16th to pay my respects.
Hopefully, I’ll make it to Graceland to be a part of another Elvis Week (last one was the 25th anniversary if his death.)
Until then, I still have his music to listen to and movies to watch.
Here are a few a of my favorite pictures of Elvis.
My youth movie star crush… Michael Schoeffling! Where, oh where can he be?
Michael Schoeffling retired from acting in 1991 for practical reasons. There just weren’t many roles available for him to take. After retiring he started manufacturing furniture and opened up a woodworking shop.
I don’t care what anyone says about Michael Schoeffling and how he felt Vegas.
“I Smell Cake” is a saying from the TV show “Scrubs.”
“I smell cake! If Uncle Bernie died, someone’s gonna have to go on a beer run!”— Dan Dorian
I just noticed that my last few posts have been R.I.P. and today isn’t any different.
I read that Lauren Bacall (September 16, 1924 – August 12, 2014), an American film and stage actress and model, known for her distinctive husky voice and sultry looks died.
I didn’t see very many movies of hers. I did like her in her role in The Mirror Has Two Faces (1996), After reading some of her movies, here is a list of the ones that I want to see.
I was so sad to hear today Robin Williams past away.
He was always one of my favorite comedian and actors.
If you did not watch Robin Williams’s epic performance on James Lipton’s Inside The Actor’s Studio, you really should. I don’t think I’ve laughed so hard watching a show than the one that he was on.
Here is one part of the show:
When I’m surfing videos on YouTube, I find myself watching this and Robin made everything better.
Here are some of my favorite movies that he was in.
